What is Blue Salt?

Persian blue salt is a type of table salt that has become this color due to having special minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and calcium and under special weather conditions as well as pressure and humidity.

This salt is found only in Iran and in the mines of Semnan and Garmsar and has not been observed anywhere in the world so far and therefore it is considered one of the wonders of creation.

The blue salt rock changes color to white after pounding, but blue dots can still be seen inside.

This is one way of distinguishing the original blue salt from the counterfeit, because the potassium elements, after being separated from each other, cannot show a uniform blue color.
